The past week we have taken advantage of the unseasonally beautiful weather and explored the beaches, trails and islands around our new home in Anacortes. Last weekend we went to the Bowman Bay and hiked the trails on Fidalgo Head, offering spectacular views of Deception Pass. We stopped for a lunch break on a small overlook.
After a long hike, we settled down to watch the sunset over the Straight of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic mountains. Simply breathtaking.
